Today I was determined to be a tourist! Between dealing with getting the dogs here, Josh being out of town, and flat hunting we hadn't really seen the sights.
I followed a tourist book I bought for a neighborhood walk of Westminster. We started at Buckingham Palace. It was really exciting. I was telling Josh how crowded the area was after the Royal Wedding (he didn't wake up at the crack of dawn to watch it like I did). The gate is actually much closer to the palace than I expected. No exciting sightings, but I was impressed at how long the guards had to stand on duty. Josh wonders if they get to listen to music, I think not.

Then we walked to Westminster Abbey. Beautiful! Long lines so I made a mental note to get the London Pass when we go inside. Next was the Houses of Parliament. Side note, our estate agent says many members of Parliament live close to us. I bet they have keys to the secret garden!

Next we spotted Big Ben. Then a hike to Churchill War Rooms, Horse Guards, Royal Academy of Arts, Handel House Museum, Wallace Collection, Marble Arch, and Shepherd Market.

| American Embassy- I look scared because I was afraid I was going to be shot! |
We wondered into a swanky area called Mayfair. This is where the American Embassy is located. It also has fancy shops. It was fun to walk around/people watch! Josh LOVED all the "high roller" cars he was seeing. I will include those pictures for him.
