Flying to London, June 28, 2014

So if you have been one of the "lucky" ones who have flown with me you know I am not the best air traveler. All I heard from friends and family is "oh flying overseas is so different, you will love it, won't even feel like you are flying, just sleep the whole time...".

Let me just say, this was just like any other flight I have been on. Just way longer! It didn't help having to walk through a tunnel of drug dogs, and custody officers pulling out "suspicious travelers" and questioning them. Anyway...we get on the sold out plane and get ready for take off (my worst part). I was super "lucky" according to the flight attendants because the only empty seat was next to me...yay!

Dinner time..."would you like beef or vegetarian?" What does that even mean? Beef? Like what is it? "its beef"...Josh wanted the beef so I looked at his and decided I'll go with door #2 and risk the vegetarian. It was Indian vegetarian and was much better than the "beef". I also had tons of CranApple my most favorite juice, so that was a plus! Thanks to my favorite pharm rep I did get a bit of sleep on the plane, woke up for breakfast and we were there! Yay I survived! The airport was not busy at all. Got our luggage right away and our driver was there ready for us.
Before takeoff
We walk outside and it feels AWESOME, like a beautiful October day in Texas. I am super excited about the weather. We get the quick city tour as we drive to our corporate housing right in the city. There is a bizarre on our street so we have to walk through the crowds with our 6 bags, but I make a mental note to come back out later to see all the goods for sale :)

Our place is way larger than I was expecting! Odd floor plan but better than expected. We have this for 2 weeks so we plan to start flat (apartment) searching tomorrow. The rest of the day we work out the cell phone issues, get converters, get an Oyster card (to travel on the underground), look at some neighborhoods and just explore! Tomorrow the pups arrive and I can't wait to see my babies!
