The pups arrive, June 30, 2014

If you have ever sent any animals over to the UK you know what an ordeal it is! Tons of paperwork involving the USDA, Austin, many pills, and so on. But for us we could not imagine being without our girls for 2 years, so we were up for the challenge.

Everything I read online was scary about what would happen if something went wrong with the paperwork. Let me just tell you that the Animal Reception Center at the airport was very accommodating! Our vet did something wrong but they were very kind and even let us use their phone to call the States. Luckily we had our vets cell as well, and of course the whole office knew of our trip so a quick text to her and she had her office staff all over the issue. Long story short, after 6 hours of waiting our girls were here and didn't seem too traumatized!

Since it took longer than expected we didn't get to do too much flat hunting today. We did meet up for dinner with another couple from Dallas who had arrived a few days before us. It was great to hear they were having some of the same moving issues as us. The girls met their little guy, Maverick. Tomorrow Josh leaves for Luxembourg for 3 days.
