November 2015

November 1-8, 2015
44 Weeks
After 8 months without it, Harvey found a pacifier and enjoyed it for the day. Of course when he went to sleep I hid it!

This week was my brother and sister in laws, and bestie, Meghan birthdays. We were sad to not be with them, but can't wait to see them in December!

We tried a new play group called Tiny Time. It's at a local nursery and it's just a fun time to play with new toys and meet other babies. We went with our friend Noah, and had so much fun!

Mary and I took a guest around Westminster and we saw the Queen leaving Buckingham in a helicopter! It was very exciting...of course we waved!

When we got home, Harvey decided to climb up the stairs. Mommy is not ready for this wild baby!

November 5 is a big night in London. Its Guy Fawkes night or Bonfire Night. Lots of fireworks go off all week in celebration. We went on a walking tour with the Junior League to learn all about the history of this time of treason.
"Remember remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason, and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason should ever be forgot..."

Josh and Harvey have been continuing with their Saturday morning swim class. Harvey loves the water!

Harvey was great sleeper in Amsterdam, and ever since we've been back he has been horrible! I mean waking up every 2-3 hours like a newborn! Arg! So this week we did a little sleep intervention and he took to it very well. Granted josh and I had to move bedrooms in the process but small steps. He's now sleeping 10-12 hours, now this is what I call all night! Harvey tried some new foods this week...chicken wings (dad peeled the meat off the bones for him), and salmon. He loved both, and the picture above is him yelling for more chicken. He started standing without holding on and waved to dad. Maybe all that sleep got his motor planning moving.

With all this standing, a fall was bound to happen. Nothing a cold teether and kisses couldn't fix. Harvey went to Santa's Grotto and got to sit on Santa's lap. It was very cute! We booked a time slot and got about 20 minutes to sit and chat with Santa, they took his photo, and emailed it to us all for free! Harvey wasn't scared of Santa, but did not want to be held. He was loving crawling around the grotto.

I am making homemade Christmas gifts this year and using essential oil. I did a test run of the sugar scrub with Christmas Spirt oil, it smells amazing!

We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving trip and found where Beatrix Potter lived (author) when we dropped our dogs off at the sitter.

Happy Thanksgiving week! We traveled to Dubai and had such an adventure!

This month Harvey traveled to Dubai, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Berlin, Germany. He loves wrestling and laughing with dad, opening all drawers and taking things out and putting things in, he has recently tried fish and liked it. He took his first steps towards his stacking cups and was walking a week later. He points and says “dada” all the time. We celebrated Thanksgiving in Dubai in the desert on a camel!  Harvey weighs 18lbs 11oz.
